 the maze of memories stained;;[open]
« Thread Started on Sept 16, 2007, 7:27pm »

'Well, this is an awkward situation that I have landed myself in.' The black wolf thought, looking around from the bush he was stuck in. It was a thorny bush, meaning it had thorns and said thorns were digging into the wolf's fur and flesh. He was stuck, that could not have been any more clear than what it was. He had been running along, not paying attention to where his paws were taking him, when wham! he ran into a bush. And not just any bush, oh no, it had to be a bush with thorns! 'Of course it did.' he grumbled silently, twisting and turning every way, trying to escape without leaving his fur behind him. 'Of all the luck in the world, it had to be mine to land me here.' A harsh snarl escaped him as he heaved forward--and got loose!

Ha! he said aloud, looking around to make sure no one had seen his rather embarassing experience. Shaking himself, he looked at the bush through wide, annoyed green eyes, the markings on his body standing out vividly in the dim light of the forest. After glaring at the bush for a while, he turned away, those shockingly green eyes scanning the area. A crow sat in a tree, watching him almost mournfully. The wolf sat down and watched the crow, staring him down until it dropped its eyes and flew off. Smirking, the odd black wolf rose to his paws. Now that he had succeded in getting out of the annoying bush, he needed to find something to eat. Pity he frightened the bird away. Oh well, he couldnt fly anyway. Flying would be fun, though.

Shaking the thought away, he rose to his paws and stretched, feeling a pang of joy run through him as he felt his limber body move. It was good to be young. Still, he was careful; he'd rather no trigger a seizure right here where no one could help him. At that thought, he shivered somewhat, hating how a wrong move could bring him to the ground in pain. Having no want to do that, he lifted his head and drew in a breath, the half moon around his left eye shining brightly. It was the heat of the day, though under the shade of the trees it felt good. With a calm smirk, he moved forward, gracefully slinking along, looking for some sort of food. He'd take anything from a mouse to a small deer. Maybe a fawn. Or maybe not.

After about ten minutes of searching, he came across a wonderful scent, the scent of a creature. A small, furry creature, one that he could feast upon. Jaws parted ever so slightly, revealiong his shining white fangs, dripping salvia. It would be soon, very soon, when he was sinking his fangs into the flesh of whatever was on the other side of the pine tree in front of him. The bastard's tongue slid over his lips, showing his eagerness for his meal. He moved very slowly, moving in a wide circle to place himself perfectly. It was a brown rabbit, larger than normal. He didnt care though, it was perfect. And the foolish creature was turned away; was it that dumb? Smirking, he crept closer, lowering his large frame into a crouch.

He leapt, body sailing gracefully through the air. He dropped almost on top of the rabbit, sinking his fangs into its tender flesh, giving it no time at all to cry out, no time to feel any pain. He didnt want it to suffer. Pulling away, he lifted his head, realizing how close he had come to running head first into the tree. Not entirely interested in being embarassed again, he lifted the creature's carcass and trotted to a place where a huge tree had fall and left a large stump, large enough to lay on. The wolf leapt onto it and sat his catch down, lifting his muzzle up. Those eyes moved around slowly, scanning the area once more. He knew that this one land was part of the Sakona packlands and he was interested in them.

As far as Valo knew, the land had no Alpha, which meant that he could claim them and become alpha. This thought rested in his brain, making him shiver slightly. He would not longer be an outcast to anyone; he'd have to be accepted. It would work! Perhap he should do it, claim the land as his. Then he could make his own pack, build his own legend. Yes! He would do that. Flinging his skull back, he parted his jaws and let his vox erupt into a howl, sending his deep tones shuddering through the land. This howl said that a new alpha had arrived, that he was here to stay an that a new pack had arrived. Perhaps the wolf could find peace at last.

OoC: I apologize beforehand if my post is a bit cruddy. I wrote it while in my Trig./Pre-Calc. and Chemistry classes. xD

BiC:

The sun shone brightly in the clear blue sky and few fluffy clouds drifted lazily across the great azure expanse. The warm grey-gold sunlight dappled the coat of a rather large she-wolf resting in the shade of an enormous old oak. The small patches of light danced across the canine’s tri-colored fur as the faint breeze shifted the gnarled limbs of the ancient tree. The female’s ears quivered and she twitched in her sleep as the playful zephyrs tugged at her fur.

The wolf was snoozing with her broad head resting on her large forepaws while the rest of her body was stretched out on its side. She whined softly and twitched again as her nightmare continued. Paldora’s tawny eyes suddenly snapped open as she gasped for breath. She growled softly as she blinked in the sunlight that filtered through the tree’s branches. Slowly, the lupine beast got to her paws, yawning as she did so. Paldora shook the dirt and leaves from her coat and peered around at her surroundings.

Another breeze swept through the forest. Although the short breath of air was weak, it brought with it a scent and a sound that caught her attention immediately. She could neither recognize the voice nor make out what direction it originated from. One of the scents, however, was extremely familiar to the wolf. Blood. She would recognize that wonderful, metallic aroma anywhere. Paldora’s stomach grumbled as hunger gnawed at her belly. She lifted her muzzle and gazed up at the sky. There were no crows or hawks to be seen. No scavengers meant that the kill was either very recent or fairly small; it could possibly be both.

Saliva dripped from her jaws and Paldora’s nose twitched in a very rabbit-like fashion as she scented the air again. When she had determined what direction the smell was coming from, she headed off at a steady trot. When she reached the thorn bush where Valo had been entangled, she slowed her pace to sniff about the area. A male wolf had obviously passed through here; the bush was positively drenched in his scent. He must be the one I heard howling. She continued on cautiously; as a pup, she’d been taught that trespassers were to be interrogated, killed, or both. Soon, she could see his form through the foliage.

“Have a small run-in with a rather vicious thorn bush, did we?”

The bitch’s cool, mocking voice drifted across the gap between them. Her eyes flashed in the sunlight, looking almost honey-colored as the light hit them. Those golden-brown pools danced with amusement as she approached Valo. Although she kept her distance just to be on the safe side, Paldora showed no signs of submission to the new Alpha of this territory. She wasn’t really interested in him anyhow, but her stomach growled at the smell of the rabbit on the air. A smile played across her blunt muzzle as she halted a few yards from the male, long tail brushing her heels gently and disturbing the leaves of the forest floor.

Okay, cause me and Valo dont get along well(he makes a better human/vampire), I am dropping him and bringing in my uber-evil, very sexy character Ranjit, from who I get my name. I shall make a new post with him. Prepare to be amazed xDD And I'll let you read this then tell Befera to delete it.

OoC: Darn. All that writing for nothing. Oh well. I'll look forward to reading about your new character. Poldora's kind of an ass so it could pose for some interesting role-playing. xD

OoC: It's no problem, really. And I definitely understand what you mean. I've never actually played Poldora before. When I saw the add for this site on Wajas, I came here. And I just sort of made Poldora up on the spot and spent some time on her char. sheet. I love coming up with new characters and if I have one character on a site, I usually don't normally use them outside of that particular site. I guess it's just the fact that they kind of build character and a history on a site with a plot that it's odd trying to fit them in somewhere else... And I'm rambling so I'll shut up. xD
